Reconstruction of the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge over Harlem Avenue River Forest, Oak Park and Forest Park, Illinois

The Steering Committee for the Harlem Underpass Project includes business owners, public agencies (such as PACE and the CTA), chambers of commerce and other business affiliation groups, and representatives from each of the three affected municipalities. The Steering Committee was formed to encourage open communication between these stakeholder groups and to accommodate more efficient coordination between the municipalities and the project’s consulting engineers and planners.

Throughout the study, the Steering Committee will work to: identify concerns in and around the study area, help formulate the Purpose and Need for the project, examine potential solutions, and explore the effect of those solutions.
